The fourth book in the “Jewish Library” series is about the father of modern Hebrew

As part of the “Jewish Library” book series, launched at the initiative of Boris Lozhkin Charitable Foundation and the Foundation of the Family of Yuriy Lutsenko, the book “Tongue of the Prophets: The Life Story of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda and the Incredible Revival of Hebrew” has been published by “Our Format” publishing house.

“Tongue of the Prophets” is already the fourth book in the “Jewish Library”, which publishes the first translations of works about Jews and Israel into the Ukrainian language.

Eliezer Ben-Yehuda devoted his life to making sure that Jews began to speak their own language. Spoken Hebrew became an important foundation for the creation of the future independent Israel. Although Ben-Yehuda did not live to see the declaration of independence, Israelis still use many of the words he “constructed” in everyday life.
