Boris Lozhkin Charitable Foundation

Boris Lozhkin Charitable Foundation was founded by Boris Lozhkin and Nadia Shalomova in 2014.

The Foundation’s mission is to create the future. That is why we focus on rescue of children's lives and on support of the gifted youth.

  • The Foundation’s main area of work is assistance to pediatric health facilities. Over the five years of work, the Foundation has collected and spent more than UAH 42 million on the equipment for them.
  • Each year, the Foundation gives over funds to the “Tabletochki” Fund, which provides aid to the children with cancer. In 2018, Boris Lozhkin entered the Board of Trustees of the “Tabletochki” Fund.
  • The Foundation is a sponsor of the annual scholarship programs of the Ukrainian Catholic University for the gifted students.
  • Thanks to the annual “Art for Life” charity auction, the Foundation not only collects funds for the implementation of the main direction of its work, but also supports young talented artists.

 

BORIS LOZHKIN

An investor and entrepreneur.

Since 1989 in business.

He founded the UMH Group media holding.

A local publishing and advertising company was turned by him in twenty years into one of the largest multimedia holdings in Eastern Europe, with a capitalization of several hundred million dollars.

In 2013, the UMH Group was sold.

In 2006-2014 he was a member of the board of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers WAN-IFRA.

He was one of the first members of the Board of Trustees of the International Solomon University in Ukraine.

In 2014-2016 he headed the Administration of the President of Ukraine.

In 2014, he established Boris Lozhkin Charitable Foundation, the activities of which are focused on providing medical care to children and equipping children's hospitals with modern equipment. The foundation is also part of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine.

In 2015, Boris Lozhkin took part in the organization of the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy as a co-chairman of the organizing committee.

In 2017, he founded an investment company.

In 2018, Boris Lozhkin was elected President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine.

In 2018, Boris Lozhkin became Vice President of the World Jewish Congress.

He is the author of the book “The Fourth Republic. Why Europe needs Ukraine and Why Ukraine needs Europe”, published in 2016 in four languages.
